Law Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed Sunday said that required manpower and logistics support would be provided within a week to facilitate the investigation and trial of the crimes against humanity committed during the liberation war in 1971, reports UNB.
The investigation cell earlier sent a list to the Home Ministry seeking necessary logistics support to expedite investigation into the crimes against humanity.
He was briefing journalists after a meeting with prosecutors and investigation officers at his ministry.
Shafique said the meeting reviewed the progress in the investigation and discussed the manpower and logistics support needed in this respect.
Documents relating the crimes against humanity were collected from different countries through Bangladesh missions abroad, he added.
