Section 144 bars BNP factions from holding meet

BRAHMANBARIA, Jan 26 (UNB): Two groups of BNP activists failed to hold their conference at Alauddin Khan Municipality auditorium in the town Tuesday due to imposition of Section 144 there.
Convenor of district BNP Advocate Harun-al-Rashid and rebel group called their conference at the venue several days back.
District administration imposed Monday Section 144 at Alauddin Khan Municipality auditorium and nearby areas from 6am to midnight Tuesday to maintain law and order.
