Section 144 imposed in Natore

NATORE, Oct 9 (UNB): Local administration imposed section 144 in Bagatipara upazila headquarters in Natore Sunday as two factions of BNP called meeting at the same time. Police said Bagatipara thana BNP convenor and poura mayor Mosharraf Hossain called to hold biannual council at Poura Gohat in the uapzila headquarters at 10 am Sunday. On the other hand, ex president of Bagatipara thana BNP Golam Mostafa called workers' meeting at the same time at Malanchi bazaar, which is only 50 yards away from Poura Gohat. Apprehending deterioration of law and order situation, upazila administration imposed the restriction from 6 am to 12 noon. Additional police have been deployed in the area.
