Monday, 24 February 2014

Security has been beefed up across the country on Monday a day after gunmen ambushed a police van freeing three convicted militants on way to a court in Mymensingh and leaving one policeman killed. One of the militants was killed in a gunfight with security forces on Monday, a day after his recapture. UNB Benapole correspondent reports: Border Guard Bangladesh members have been kept on high alert along the borders and additional 250 BGB members have been deployed following the incident. Leave of all officials of police administration have been cancelled and check posts have set up at different strategic points. Meanwhile, security has been strengthened at Kashimpur jail to keep watch on the 102 JMB militants in the jail.
