Security heightened around PM's house

Security was heightened around the official residence of the Prime Minister (PM) at Hare Road in the city, as a standoff continued at the BDR Headquarters Thursday, more than 24-hours into an armed rebellion by mutinous border guards, reports bdnews24.com.
Members of the President's Guard Regiment (PGR) were deployed, and the residence was surrounded by RAB personnel. A PGR jeep was parked horizontally at the gate of the residence.
On the fountain in front of Sheraton Hotel, just off Hare Road, heavy machine guns and 126mm recoilless rifles had been positioned. At 3:45pm, small groups with light machine guns had been positioned at certain spots around Hare Road.
