Security tightened for BNP blockade in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 15: The law enforcing agencies including elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have taken special security measures for the blockade enforced by BNP.
Meanwhile, 14 platoons of BGB have been deployed in Chattogram to maintain the law and order situation today (Wednesday) for the blockade.
Commander of BGB Chattogram-8 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Shahed Minhaj Siddiki said, "14 platoons of BGB have been deployed in Chattogram.
BGB is already patrolling in Chattogram with vehicles.
Besides, eight more platoons of BGB have been kept ready in case of any unwanted situation.
Sources said a huge number of police members were deployed at the important places including Nasimon Bhabon, Kajir Dweri, WASA point, Lal Khan Bazar, Darul Fazal Market, Chattogram New Market, Chattogram Press Club premises, Bahaddarhat, Muradpur, 2 no rail gate at Sholoshahar, Agrabad, Barik Building, Dewanhat and other places in the port city.
