Security to be tightened in trains, railway stations

COMILLA: Railways Minister M Mazibul Hoque said Saturday security measures will be beefed up in trains and railway stations ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
 “To prevent subversive acts and to serve the passengers properly Rab, BGB, police will be deployed round the clock at all stations,” he said while addressing a views exchange meetings with Bangladesh Railway (East Zone) officials at Laksam Railway junction, according to a news agency.
The minister said the advance tickets sale will start from July 20 to prevent black marketing.
He also said that on the occasion of the Eid, 166 bogies will be added in the inter-service trains.
