Sedition case against ICS president, eight others

CHITTAGONG, Nov 2 (bdnews24.com): A sedition case has been filed against the president of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) and eight others for making derogatory statements about the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
Abu Tayeb, General Secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Chittagong (North) unit filed the case with the District Judicial Magistrate's Court of Judge Akhter Hossain Tuesday noon.
Accused Jama'at and its wing leaders are: ICS central president Rezaul Karim, Jama'at central executive member Amir Maqbul Ahmed, acting secretary general ATM Ajharul Islam.
Accused leaders of other political parties are: Jatiya Party central secretary general Shamim al Mahmud; Islami Oikkojote leader Mawlana Abdul Latif Nezami; Jatiya Ganatantrik Party president Shafiul Alam; NPP president Sheikh Showkat Hossain Nilu; and NAP leader Sheikh Anwarul Haque.
