Sedition cases filed against Tuhin Malik

A metropolitan magistrate court in Dhaka on Tuesday asked Shahbagh Police Station to deem the two petition cases filed against Dr Tuhin Malik, a Supreme Court lawyer, on alleged offences of sedition and hurting religious sentiments, as the FIRs (first information report) after investigation subject to approval of the state. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Huq passed the order upon the two petitions filed by Ghulam Rabbani, deputy international secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), according to a news agency.
