Segunbagicha Society to celebrates Pahela Boishakh

Segunbagicha Society, an association of the residents of Segunbagicha area in the city, has chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate Pahela Boishakh (the Bangla New Year) today (Thursday) like previous years, said a press statement.
The programmes include a colourful New Year rally from the Segunbagicha Apartment Complex at 7 am, serving panta bhat (rice soaked in water) and hilsa fish at 8:30 am, year reception songs at 9 am distribution of safe drinking water and sweetmeats from 10 am to 5 pm.
President of the somity Jabbar Faruq and Secretary Akhtar Husain Choudhury requested the residents of the area to make the programmes a success.
