Selection body formed for 'Chief Justice Medal'

A six-member judges' committee comprising judges from both the divisions of the Supreme Court has been formed to conduct the selection process including policy formulation for 'Chief Justice Medal'.
With Justice Borhanuddin, a judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, at the helm, the committee includes High Court division judges-Justice Farah Mahbub, Justice Md Akram Hossain Chowdhury, Justice SM Kuddus Zaman, Justice Sardar Md Rashed Jahangir and Justice Md Akhtaruzzaman.
Md Saifur Rahman, spokesperson of the Supreme Court, issued a press release in this regard on Thursday.
The committee will conduct the selection process including formulation of the policy for awarding the Chief Justice Medal.
The medal, whose distribution will begin this year, will be awarded to the best and most efficient officers at all levels of the judiciary.
