Selection of players for Sheikh Kamal U-20 Football ends

BARGUNA, Feb 19 (UNB): The player selection process for the proposed Sheikh Kamal U-20 Football Championship came to an end on Tuesday with the selection of players of Barishal division at the Barguna Stadium here.
The Football Championship was organised by Bangladesh District and Divisional Football Association (BDDFA).
The player selection process for the tournament that began in Chattogram Division in November.
The selected players of all the eight divisions of the country will undergo a month-long training before the tournament begins in mid- April.
BDDFA secretary general Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin who was the chief guest at the day's closing ceremony presented the "Yes Card" to finally selected 30 players out of initially chosen 60 of the division, who came under the scrutiny process from the six districts of Barishal division.
"We want to see the future stars of football from the tournament. We're very happy to complete the selection process and we firmly believe that the players will be able to contribute to the development of Bangladesh football," said Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin.
BDDFA vice-president Sirajuddin Md Alamgir, Secretary General of Bangladesh District and Divisional Sports Organisers Association (Forum) Ashikur Rahman Miku and general secretary of Mymensingh Divisional Sports Association Abdullah Al Fuad Redwan and President of Barguna DFA Alamgir Hossain were also present on the occasion.
Selected players will represent Barishal Division in the eight-team Sheikh Kamal U-20 Football Championship in April.
Selected players: Rakib Hawlader, Mehedi Hasan, Akash Fakir, Mohammad Sharif, Mashiur Rahman, Sajib Hossain, Nayan Hawlader, Mohammad Riaz, Mohammad Russell, Apu Biswas, Imam Hossain, Mohammad Uzzal, Ahsan Habib, Masud Rana, Mujahid Islam, Al-Amin, Shahidul Islam, Jakir Hossain, Mohammad Sajib, Mohammad Tarek, Mohammad Mithun, Sirajul Islam, Fardin Talukder, Ola Chin, Ruhul Amin Shahin, Prosenjit, Imran Hawlader, Shohagh Sheikh, Ponir Talukder and Mohammad Moniruzzaman.
