Selim asks US diplomats to follow norms

Awami League MP Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim on Sunday asked the US diplomats to follow the diplomatic norms, otherwise the government would be tough on them he said standing on a point of order in the Parliament. He also asked the US diplomats to leave the diplomatic-politics in Bangladesh. “Don’t forget when your Twin Tower was demolished by the Al-Qaeda and more than four thousand people were killed we were there to express our sympathy,” he said. Asking to refrain from doing any conspiracy in Bangladesh, Selim said that the US could not be successful in conspiracy this time as they failed in 1971 during the Liberation War of the country. He also said that the government would not allow anyone to interfere in country’s internal affairs. He said that Jamaat-Hefajat-Taleban all were militant organisations. Talking about the audio tape allegedly from the Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri who called on the Muslims in Bangladesh to wage a battle to protect Islam, Selim said that it was a grave conspiracy against the country, according to a news agency.
