Selima Ahmad wins 2014 Oslo Business for Peace Award

Selima Ahmad, Vice Chairperson of Nitol Niloy Group and Founder of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI), has won 2014 Oslo Business for Peace Award for her contribution to business and society.
Giving her reaction to the FE after the announcement of the award Saturday, Selima Ahmad said the award is recognition for Bangladeshi women as many women entrepreneurs do wok for bringing value to the society as a whole.
"The award has proven that being solvent member of the society, business persons can contribute to bridge gap if remains in the society for a better Bangladesh," she added.
The Oslo-based Business for Peace Foundation awarded the BWCCI leader as it considers the highest form of recognition given to individual business leaders for fostering peace and stability through creating shared value between business and society. This is the first time this international prestigious award has been given to Asian businesswomen.
