Seminar on Army 'Wide Area Network' held

A seminar on 'Bangladesh Army Wide Area Network (WAN): Present Status and Future Prospects' was held at Dhaka Cantonment recently, says a press release.
Army Headquarters Information Technology Directorate organised the seminar where Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army Lieutenant General Md Mainul Islam was the chief guest. Director of Army Headquarters Information Technology Directorate Brigadier General Tehsin Hasan presided over the seminar.
Teachers of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) Department of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and Jahangirnagar University presented their keynote speeches in the seminar. A good number of officers from all the formations of Bangladesh Army also participated in the seminar.
The participants mainly focused on new network technology and its security, especially to prevent and monitor unauthorised access, misuse, modification or denial of the computer network and network accessible resources with some essential lessons.
In the concluding remarks, the chief guest highlighted the future network expansion planning and its modalities.
