Seminar on Eve teasing held

JAHANGIRANAGAR UNIVERSITY, Nov 7: A seminar on "Eve-teasing and social impediment thought" was held at the central auditorium of Jahangirnagar University (JU) here Saturday.
Speakers at a seminar here urged all concerned to treat Eve teasing as a severe crime like sexual torture or harassment and deal with the social menace accordingly.
Prof Dr Nasim Akter, department of government and politics addressed the programmee as chief guest of the seminar, among others Prof Dr Afser Ahmed of drama and dramatics department, Farjana Jebin of English Department and Rumana Rois of Statistics Department were also addressed the function.
Referring to the just approved National Education Policy, Prof Nasim Akter said moral education has been given due emphasis to build good citizens in the country.
Boys should be motivated that the girl students as well as the women are human being and they should be respected equally, Prof Afser Ahmed said.
Among others, president, vice president and general secretary of JUDO, Masum Reja Mehedi, Taslima Atik Sriti and Kawsik Azad respectively attended the seminar.
