A seminar on Japan Development Scholarship (JDS) 2010-2011 was held at the NEC Building in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Sunday.
Mr Harumitsu Hida, Charge d' Affaires of Japan to Bangladesh, attended the occasion as the guest of honour, while Takao Toda, Chief Representative of JICA and Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, ndc, Additional Secretary, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance were present as special guests, said a press release.
Officials, who are in charge of the foreign training programme in each ministry and Bangladesh Bank, were also present and they were requested by the speakers to disseminate the JDS scholarship information within their own organisations.
