'Send more skilled workers abroad'

BOGURA, Apr 06: Speakers at a workshop have called for sending more skilled workers abroad with a view to boosting the country's remittance earnings.
They made the call at the day-long workshop on 'Ttransfast foreign remittance and annual business planning-2019', held at a local hotel on Saturday.
The event was jointly organised by National Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank Limited and Thengamara Mahila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS).
Awards were also distributed among the contributors to the country's inward remittance earnings at the workshop.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank Mosleh Uddin Ahmmed attended the programme as the chief guest and spoke.
Founding Executive Detector of TMSS Husne-Ara was present as the special guest.
Transfast Country Director Khairuzzaman, Deputy Managing Director of NCC Bank Naimul Kabir, Head of Operation Mohammad H Kafi, Head of Remittent Mahfuzur Rahman, Deputy Director-2 of TMSS Dr Mohammad Matiur Rahman, TMSS (programme sector) chief Md ZakirHossain, Director (HEM-ope-2) Rezaul Karim, Director (HEM ope-3) Mohammad Ali Mithu and Director (TBS) Zahedur Rahman were also present and spoke, among others.
Some 14 officers of TMSS received awards for their notable contributions to increase remittance earnings in the country.
