Senior journo dies

Zahidul Huq, a veteran journalist died in the city Saturday last.
He was 77. He left behind wife, three sons, two daughters in law and one grandson and many admirers to mourn his death.
Mr Huq started his career in the then Pakistan Observer in 1958. Later he joined The Dawn, Karachi. Thereafter he went to Beijing and served the Beijing Radio as Language Specialist for about 18 years.
Bangladesh-China Friendship Centre has expressed deep condolence at the death of Mr Zahidul Huq.
Qulkhwani of the veteran journalist will be held Friday after Asar prayer at his Mirpur residence in the city.
