Sensex ends day 75 points down

The 30-share Sensex closed the day at 27,945.80, up 75.07 points. The broader 50-share Nifty ended 8.15 points down at 8,444.90. 20 of 30 stocks on Sensex ended the day in red. Mahindra & Mahindra was the top gainer, up 2 per cent. Tata Motors was the top loser, down 2 per cent. OMCs were on roll, with HPCL and IOC gaining 6% each, according to a news agency.
