Sensex pares some losses

The benchmark BSE Sensex erased some of its early losses and was trading down 100 points in the post noon session.  At 12.30 pm, the Sensex was down 100 points or 0.36 per cent at 27,967.28 while the NSE Nifty was down 23.20 points or 0.27 per cent at 8,495.25.  The Sensex and Nifty had fallen over 1 per cent in the morning session. The BSE midcap and the small cap reversed its losses and were up 0.40 per cent and 0.27 per cent respectively. Among the sectoral indices, consumer durables (1.35%), metals (0.62%), FMCG (0.10%) and health care (0.19%) indices were in the green.  Oil and gas, banks, realty and IT indices were the major losers, according to a news agency.
