Seoul soars

Monday, 9 June 2014

The prices of most of the shares in South Korea's stock exchange soared following another strong lead from Wall Street and Chinese data showing inflation of the world’s 2nd largest economy rising to a four-month high in May. Seoul’s benchmark Kospi climbed 0.36 per cent. Profit-taking and a stronger yen that dragged the Japanese market into negative territory also aided Kospi’s rise, according to AFP.
