Separate city road accidents kill 2

Two separate road accidents in the city on Tuesday killed a girl and a youth. The accidents took place in Gulistan and Farmgate areas in the morning, police and hospital sources said. A young girl identified as Jesmin Akhter, 18, died on the spot as an unidentified motorised vehicle ran over her while crossing the road near Golap Shah Mazar of Gulistan atbout 5:30am today, said police of Shahbagh Police Station. Another incident took place in front of Ananda Cinema Hall in Farmgate area under Tejgaon Police Station when a truck hit a CNG-run four-wheeler injuring its passenger Mohammad Junaed at about 6:30am. The victim was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition where doctor declared him dead around 7:30am, according to BSS.
