Separate doors for entry and exit in trains

Sunday, 12 May 2019

There is always a rush near the gates of train bogies at the train stations. Those who are trying to get down from the train are blocked by groups of passengers who are trying to board the train. Many passengers travel with family and carry heavy luggage. There is much jostling and elbowing. During these times, wallets and mobile phone sets of some passengers are often stolen.
Mostly, women, children and senior citizens are victims of this chaos at the train stations. Sick travellers suffer the most.
As there are two doors in each compartment, one may be used for getting down from the train and another for getting in. If this practice is initiated, then the problem can be solved to some extent. No extra expense will be incurred in this regard.
