Septic tank cleaners die

Two workers fainted and later died when they went down to clean a septic tank in a house in Juktitola village of Pakshi upazila on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Johny, 25, and Pannu, 20, of Juktitola village. Ishwardy Police Station OC Biman Kumar Das said: ‘A few workers were cleaning the septic tank of Shafikul Islam’s house when three of them fainted after descending into the tank around noon. They were pulled out and sent to hospital. But Pannu and Johny died on the way.’ Another worker was admitted to the Upazila Health Complex, according to bdnews24.com.
