Seven held with 0.5m Yaba tablets in Ctg city

CHITTAGONG, May 14: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested seven people with half a million Yaba tablets in their possession from the outer anchorage of the port city early Thursday. Identity of the arrestees could not be known immediately. Sohel Mahmud, assistant director (press wing) of RAB-7, said on a tip-off, a team of the elite force led by Lieutenant Colonel Mifta Uddin Ahmed conducted a drive in the area and surrounded a fishing trawler heading towards Chittagong from Teknaf about 12:30 am. Later, the law enforcers arrested seven people and recovered the Yaba tablets from the trawler. — UNB
