Seven killed in Narsingdi mishap

Seven persons, including three women and three children, were killed and 40 others critically injured in a road accident at Bhelanagar in Narsingdi Sunday. The deceased were identified as Laki (30), Sharifa (60), Tanzida (13), Sonia (18), Faisal (8) and Rifat (8). One could not be identified immediately. Police said, the accident occurred when a Kishoreganj-bound passenger bus had a head-on collision with another bus on the bridge. At this stage, the Dhaka-bound bus fell under the bridge, killing seven persons on the spot and injuring 40 others. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies with the help of the local people. — BSS
