Seven persons killed in separate incidents

Seven persons were killed and many others injured in separate incidents in different places of the country during the last two days, report agencies.
In Sirajganj, two banana traders were killed and three others injured when a truck fell in a roadside ditch in Royganj on the Dhaka-Bogra Highway Wednesday.
Local sources said the accident took place at Dadpur when the driver of the banana-laden truck lost his control over the steering at about 6:3am, killing the two on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Mujibur and Abdul Momin Sarker of Dinajpur district.
In Chittagong, two street urchins were killed in a wall collapse at Madhayam Rampura in the city's Halishahar area Wednesday.
The police said the boundary wall of an under-construction building collapsed on Panna and Faysal at about 12.30pm as they were sitting beside it, leaving them dead on the spot.
The wall is believed to have collapsed due to heavy pressure of sand kept on it for construction work.
In Noakhali, a woman was killed and 20 people were injured in a road accident at Nadna Shaktola on the Begumganj-Ramganj road here Tuesday.
Witnesses said the driver of a bus of 'Janani Paribahan' while giving side to another bus lost control over the steering and the vehicle turned turtle after hitting a roadside tree at 6.00pm leaving 21 passengers injured critically.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital where the woman died. Her identity could not be known immediately.
In Rangpur, two persons including a boy were killed in two separate incidents in Pirganj Upazila of the district Tuesday, police sources said.
Russell, son of Shahjada Mia, of village Chondipur was seriously injured when a sand-laden trolley hit him at Khalashpeer point on the Rangpur-Bogra Highway in Pirganj Upazila last evening.
Later, the boy succumbed to his injuries on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
