Seven to die for killing Swechchhasebok League leader

A court in the city Monday sentenced seven men to death and a woman to life imprisonment for killing a Swechchhasebok League leader in the city nine years ago. The condemned convicts are Mahmudur Rahman Sohel, Hasan Sarwar Dipu, Mohammad Shahadat, Mohammad Shafiq, Mintu, Noman Ibne Bashar, Liton Hossain while the lifer is Jahanara Begum. The court also fined Jahanara Begum Tk 20,000. — UNB
