Several companies declare cash dividends

Several companies, including Marico Bangladesh Ltd, Prime Finance, Eastern Bank Limited, United Commercial Bank Ltd, Pubali Bank, Brac Bank and Al Arafah Islami Bank, recommended cash dividends at the opening of the week’s trading Sunday.
The Board of Directors of Marico Bangladesh Ltd has declared 500 per cent interim cash dividend for the year ending on 31 March 2014 based on 9 months’ financials for the period ended 31 December 2013. The Record date for entitlement of interim dividend is 12.03.2014, according to DSE web post.
The Board of Directors of Prime Finance has recommended 15 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on 31 December 2013. The Annual General Meeting of the company will be held on 30 March 2014 at 10:30 am at the Bashundhara Convention Centre, Block-C, Umme Kulsum Road, Bashundhara.
The Board of Directors of Eastern Bank Ltd has recommended 20 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on 31 December 2013. The Annual General Meeting of the company will be held on 31 March 2014 at 10:30 am at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Agargaon in the city, according to a news agency.
