Shab-e-Barat holiday on Aug 30

The government has announced public holiday on August 30 (Thursday) instead of August 29 as the holy Shab-e-Barat will be observed on the night of August 29 (Wednesday). However, the offices which have their own rules for office timing and holidays, or the offices, organisations and institutions the services of which have been declared essential by the government will follow their own rules in public interest, said a handout. — UNB
