Shab-e-Qadr observed in districts

RAJSHAHI, Aug 16 (BSS):The holy Shab-e-Qadr as well as Lailatul Qadr was observed with due religious fervour and solemnity in the city and its adjacent areas on Saturday night through an overnight ebadat bandegi.
Thousands of the Muslims offered 'nafal' prayers at mosques and homes and recited from the holy Quran in observance the most meaningful nights of forgiveness, fortune, hopes and aspirations.
Besides, they sought blessings of Almighty Allah for long life, peace, progress, good health and happiness for them, their families, relatives and friends and offered special prayers with hopes of forgiveness, eternal peace for their departed parents and generations.
Many mosques especially Hazrat Shah Mukhdum Dargah Mosque, Saheb Bazar Boro Mosque and Hatemkha Mosque and different other religious organisations organised milad mahfils, 'zikr-ajkars' and distributed tobaraks in urban and rural areas in the city.
Special discussions were held at the mosques since the Asr prayers where the Imams delivered speeches narrating spiritual significance of the most sacred night.
Large number of the Muslims stayed for the whole night at the mosques, offered special prayers and 'ziarats' at the graveyards of their forefathers and departed relatives, friends and sought forgiveness and eternal peace for all.
Another report from Rangpur adds: The holy night of Sab-e-Qadr was observed in the divisional city and all over the district with due religious fervours, festivity, gaiety and solemnity last night.
The Muslims believe that the most important night of Sab-e- Qadr bears huge importance when Almighty Allah sent the Holy Qur'an for the humankind on earth on this night.
