Shafiq new DMD of SIBL

Career banker Shafiqur Rahman has joined Social Islami Bank Ltd as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) recently, said a press release.
Mr Shafiq started his banking career by joining Sonali Bank as Senior Officer in 1977. He shouldered the responsibilities as general manager of Agrani Bank and Sonali Bank and as also Senior Executive Vice President of Jamuna Bank Ltd and South East Bank.
He did his B Com (Hons) and M Com in Accounting from the University of Dhaka and completed both parts of the banking diploma.
Mr Shafiq is a widely travelled man and has taken part in different profeessional trainings at home and abroad.
