Shafiul Azam's death anniversary today

The 18th death anniversary of former Minister for Jute, Commerce and Industries and Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy
SM Shafiul Azam will be observed today (Friday), says a press release.
He served as Chief Secretary of East Pakistan, Secretary of the Central Government of Pakistan and Cabinet Secretary and Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission in Bangladesh.
In observance of the death anniversary SM Shafiul Azam Memorial Committee has arranged programmes to celebrate the day to recall the contributions he made to the country in various fields.
Special programmes with prayer session will also be held at Dr SM Muhammadul Haque Government Primary School and Shazadi Latifa Khatun Forkania Madrasah at his village home in Chittagong.
