Shaheed Rafique Jabbar Hall inaugurated at JU

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 4 (BSS): Shaheed Rafique Jabbar Hall for the male students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) was inaugurated on its campus Saturday.
Shaheed Rafique and Shaheed Jabbar were two language heroes of the country.
Adviser to the Prime Minister, Prof Alauddin, was present at the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest. Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Nazrul Islam was also present as the special guest while Vice Chancellor of JU Dr Shariff Enamul Kabir presided over the ceremony.
"Accommodating 640 students, the new hall will restore the residential building of the university, the JU VC said. He urged the concerned authority to give special allocation for the hall for extending the university's academic discipline and residential facilities.
JU authorities would lay the foundation stone of Sheikh Hasina Hall in near future for the female students, he said.
Alauddin gave assurance of providing allocation for extending research, academic and digital activities on the campus.
