Former senior vice-president of DCCI M Shahjahan Khan and Enayet Karim of Industry Group have been elected president and general secretary (GS) of Barisal Zila Samity in Dhaka for the year 2009-10.
The election was held at the biennial general meeting of the Samity in the city recently, said a press release.
Other officer-bearers of the samity were vice-presidents --Sarder Md Muzabar Rahman, Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil, Abu Baker Siddique Sohel and Abdul Jabbar Khan, Joint Secretary -- Abul Kalam Azad and Enayet Hossain Babul, Treasurer -- Nurul Islam Khalifa, Organising Secretary -- Shamsul Alam Zulfiqar, Office Secretary -- Abdul Jabbar, Publication and Publicity Secretary -- Nurul Haque, Education Secretary -- Tofayel Ahmed, Health Secretary -- Dr Nazful Islam and EC members -- MA Karim, Golam Mahbub, Delwar Hossain, Mizanur Rahman, Abu Zafar, Nurul Alam Mollah, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Golam Quddus Khan, Asaduzzaman Haq, Jalal Uddin Jamadder and Ali Akbar.
