Shahjahan Mahmud made new BTRC chairman

The government has appointed Engineer Shahjahan Mahmud chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) changing its previous order appointing senior secretary Iqbal Mahmud about a month ago.
Shahjahan Mahmud will now replace Sunil Kanti Bose whose tenure expires on October 22, a news agency report said.
Public Administration Ministry issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday.
Earlier, the government appointed senior secretary Iqbal Mahmud chairman of BTRC for three years through a circular on August 25.
