Shahjalal Bank opens branch at Mirpur

Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) opened its 23rd branch (Mirpur branch) at 230 Sen Para Parbata, Mirpur-10, in the city Tuesday. Chairman of the board of directors of the bank Akkasuddin Mollah formally inaugurated the branch.
Mollah said, Shahjalal Islami Bank renders better services to its clients with latest technology. He disclosed that three more branches would be opened in this year at different places of the country.
SJIBL Managing Director Muhammad Ali focused on different schemes with a view to improving the deposit base of the bank. The bank had already taken necessary measures for the expatriates to remit money, he added.
Among others, vice chairmen of the board Mohammad Hasan and Syed Nurul Arefeen, former Bangladesh president Husain Muhammad Ershad, directors Anwer Hossain Khan and Md Sanaullah Shahid, sponsor shareholders Mohammad Farruk, Abdul Halim and Khandoker Sakib Ahmed, former MD of the bank M Kamaluddin Chowdhury, DMD Md Jillur Rahman and businessmen, industrialists and distinguished personalities were present at the opening ceremony.
