Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation holds first meet

The first meeting of the Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation was held at its head office in the city recently.
Chairman of the foundation Sajjatuz Jumma presided over the meeting.
Also present on the occasion were SJIB Foundation vice-chairmen Md Solaiman and Anwer Hossain Khan, members Md Sanaullah Shahid, Md Tofazzal Hossain and Abdul Barek, Managing Director and Member Secretary M Kamaluddin Chowdhury and Secretary Emran Hossain.
The meeting has taken several programmes including scholarship to purchase books and other study materials for the meritorious and poverty-stricken students in order to encourage their education, cash benefit for the brilliant students securing first, second and third positions in the MBA programme with Islamic Economics and Banking from Dhaka University, and relief and rehabilitation of the people in disaster areas etc.
