Shahjalal Islami Bank holds AGMs

The fifth and sixth annual general meetings (AGMs) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) was held at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the city Thursday.
SJIBL Chairman Sajjatuz Jumma presided over the AGMs while its Managing Director (CC) Muhammad Ali, Chief Executive Consultant M Kamaluddin Chowdhury and Company Secretary Md Emran Hossain were present on the occasion.
Syed Nurul Arefeen, Akkas Uddin Mollah, Md Towhidur Rahman, Khandoker Sakib Ahmed, Mohammad Hasan and Mohiuddin Ahmed were elected from the sponsor shareholders and Nazmul Islam Nuru was elected from public shareholders as director in the AGM.
The annual report and the audited accounts for the year 2005 and 2006 were approved in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Sajjatuz Jumma said the bank served its clients with modern technology and it would turn into the best Islamic Bank in Bangladesh in near future.
