Shahriar goes to Benin Sunday

State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam leaves Dhaka for Benin, a West African country, on Sunday to attend a four-day ministerial conference. The conference titled ‘New Partnerships for the Development of Productive Capacities in LDCs’ will be held in Cotonou, the largest city and economic hub of Benin, from July 28 to 31. Shahriar will lead a four-member Bangladesh delegation to the conference that include Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Dr AK Abdul Momen, said a senior official at the foreign ministry, according to a news agency.
