Shakib Al Hasan hits century

Tuesday, 4 November 2014

Ace Bangladeshi allrounder Shakib Al Hasan hit a century, followed by opener Tamim Iqbal's one, on the second day of second Test against Zimbabwe at Khulna stadium today. Shakib this morning reached his half-century in T20 mode. But after lunch, he steadied a bit, accompanied by his skipper Mushfiqur Rahim. Tamim headed to pavilion after a brilliant, resounding century against Zimbabwe on the second day of second Test at Khulna today. The innings, however, could have been longer. But Tamim was deceived by a delivery of Hamilton Masakadza and got caught by Craig Ervine on his 109 runs. The long-awaiting ton came after Tamim failed to prove himself on the first Test. He kept his patience steady and played more than 300 deliveries to reach the three figure mark. Earlier on the first day, Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and elected to bat. Bangladesh went back to pavilion with 193 runs in the bag with loss of 3 wickets, according to private TV channels.
