Shakib becomes UCB brand ambassador

Shakib Al-Hasan, a leading all rounder in the cricket field, teamed up with United Commercial Bank (UCB) as its brand ambassador Wednesday.
The commercial Bank signed an agreement with Hasan, who is also the Wisden Test Cricketer of the Year 2009 and captain of Bangladesh National Cricket Team, for a year in a city hotel.
"UCB's association with cricket is very strong," Mirza Mahmud Rafiqur Rahman, deputy managing director of the bank said.
Looking at UCB's past experiences with cricket, the bank associated with a sport man who would face of the bank and would represent personality and passion, and there was none to replace Hasan, he added.
UCB Chairman, MA Hashem, Managing Director, M Shahjahan Bhuiyan, Deputy Managing Directors, Shafiqul Islam, Mamun-ur-Rashid and Shahed Jalal Chowdhury and Sponsor Director MA Sabur, among others, were present in the signing ceremony.
