Bangladesh have defeated Hong Kong by 27 runs in the third place decider of the Asian Games Twenty20 Cricket, reports Reuters.
Shakib Al Hasan's brilliant all-round performance and Arafat Sunny's outstanding bowling paved the way for the Tigers to bag the second bronze medal in the competition on Friday.
Electing to bat first, Bangladesh put 162 for 6 on the board at the Yeonhui Cricket Ground in Incheon.
Shakib topscored with 46 off 37. Mahmudullah Riyad made an important unbeaten 35 off 21 to help his team pass the 150-run mark.
Shamsur Rahman scored 26 runs while Tamm Iqbal made 22.
Nadeem Ahmed bagged three wickets for Hong Kong.
In reply, Hong Kong managed 135 for 7.
Spin duo Shakib and Arafat pegged Hong Kong back to 41 for 4.
Then Irfan Ahmed of Hong Kong started to take the fight to Bangladesh bowlers, as he smashed 31 off 18 with the help of four sixes, before getting out to Sunny in the seventh over.
After that, Mark Chapman (38) and Aizaz Khan (26 not out) put up some resistance but in the end their side fell short of the target.
Sunny was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers with 22 for 3, while Shakib had figures of 23 for 2.
Bangladesh lost to Hong Kong in the Twenty20 World Cup at home earlier this year.
Sri Lanka, who beat Bangladesh in the semifinal on toss, crushed Afghanistan in the final to bag gold.
Sri Lanka scored 133 and restricted Afghanistan to 65, winning the final by 68 runs.
