Shamsuddin re-appointed Uttara Bank MD

Mr Shamsuddin Ahmed has been re-appointed managing director (MD) of Uttara Bank Limited.
His appointment came into effect on September 23, 2008, said a press release.
Mr Ahmed started his banking career by joining the then Eastern Banking Corporation Limited (now Uttara Bank Limited) as a probationary officer in 1966.
He was promoted to the post of general manager in 1993, assistant managing director in 1997, deputy managing director in 1998 and was appointed managing director in 2002.
Mr Ahmed obtained higher training on banking from Germany.
