Shamsul named chief security officer for Khaleda, Tarique

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has appointed retired brigadier general AKM Shamsul Islam as the chief security officer to the party chairperson and acting chairman, reports bdnews24.com.
The development was announced in a media statement signed on Wednesday by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
According to the statement, Shamsul has been entrusted with ensuring the overall security of Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman.
