Shamsuzzaman Dudu freed from jail

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Shamsuzzaman Dudu was freed from Kashimpur jail on bail on Friday. Nasir Hossain, jailer of Unit-2 of the jail, said the BNP leader walked out of the jail around 12:15 am. Only family members were present at the jail gate to receive him. Police arrested Shamsuzzaman Dudu during a meeting with party men at a restaurant in Mirpur on January 11. The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Thursday upheld bail granted to the BNP leader in four cases of violence, according to a news agency.
