Shana finishes 27th, Beauty 40th in ranking round

Bangladesh's Mohammad Ruman Shana finished 27th and Beauty Roy secured 40th place in the ranking round of men's and women's recurve singles on the opening day of Archery World Cup, Stage-4 at Maifieldin Berlin on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Shana scored 631 to finish at 27th place among 89 archers while Beauty finished with 594 to rank 40th out of 74 competitors.
In the recurve mixed team event, Bangladesh team, comprising Shana and Beauty, finished 16th among 26 teams scoring 1,225 in the ranking round.
Shana will now face Rajan Kalapurayil of Switzerland in the round of 48 in men's recurve singles while Beauty will play against Mehak Sangani of Sri Lanka in the round of 48 in the women's recurve singles today (Wednesday).
The team of Shana and Beauty will play against Alen Remar and Tihana Kovacic of Croatia at 02:25 pm (BdST) in the round of 12 of recurve mixed team the same day.
