KHULNA, Sept 13: The investors of Khulna stock market are shying away from business due to frequent decline in share prices. About 25 thousand investors of Khulna area have retreated from the share market in 2013-2014 financial year after losing all their capital with a burden of heavy loan.  The number of BO (Beneficiaries Owners) accounts is becoming low and inactive in every month.
Concerned sources said there are 18 brokerage houses in Khulna. About one lakh 10 thousand investors invested in these houses in early 2013. Due to continuous decline in share price the investors are leaving the market with a burden of loan.  As a result transaction in the security houses has become slow.
Visiting M Securities House, this correspondent found that the presence of investors was very poor and they were only taking news of the market. Same is the condition in other houses of the city.
General Secretary of the investors' forum Abdul Wadud Dakua said that the average investors are quitting the market and those who are visiting the market are to keeps their BO accounts active.
