Sharif Osman's health condition stable after slight deterioration

The health condition of Inqilab Mancha spokesman Sharif Osman Hadi was stated to be stable on Tuesday after slight deterioration following initial medical tests in Singapore, according to his family sources.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, quoting Sharif Osman Hadi's brother, the Inqilab Mancha said the update was received from Singapore around 3:00 pm on Tuesday.
"While another surgery is required, Hadi's current physical condition does not yet permit the procedure," said the post.
Hadi, also an independent candidate for Dhaka-8 in the upcoming national election was shot in the head on December 12 (Friday) on the Box Culvert Road at Bijoynagar in the capital.
He was flown to Singapore on December 15 for advanced treatment.
An air ambulance departed from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 1:55 pm and arrived at the Changi Airport at about 6:30 pm Bangladesh time on Monday (December 15).
Earlier, Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed said the government would not hesitate to allocate necessary funds for treatment of the critically-injured July uprising activist.
A case has been filed over the attack, naming Faisal Karim Masud, also known as Daud Khan, as the prime accused, along with several other unidentified individuals.
So far, seven people have been arrested, including Md Kabir, an associate of Masud; Mohammad Abdul Hannan, the owner of the motorcycle allegedly used in the shooting; as well as the wife, brother-in-law and a female friend of the prime suspect.
Police were given seven days to grill Kabir to extract details about Faisal Karim Masud.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibuzzaman issued the order on Tuesday in response to the police's 10-day remand petition, according to Sub-Inspector Rukunuzzaman of the prosecution police.
Two others -- Sibion Dio and Sanjay Chisim -- were also arrested for allegedly facilitating the suspect's illegal cross-border movement.
